I like theses Tinga Tinga paintings because they really catch my eye with the colors and design patterns the artist uses. I like how most of them focus on the eye of the animal for eye to eye contact.

Wellington New Zealand

In New Zealand, I went to the Papa Museum and saw the largest squid ever! I also went to the waterfront. The waterfront looks like a bridge with blue lights. I definatly went to see the Stonehenge there too. New Zealands eat alot of seafood such as whitebait fish. Whitebait is like anchovies.There are 473,700 residents in this resident. Wellington has the 12th best quality of living in the world in 2009. The people here speak english. Wellington had serious earthquake damages around the 1850s. Tulear Madagascar

In Madagascar I also went to the zoo to see the wildlife animals. They have really wierd looking lizards and retiles. I saw the different types of monkeys and also tortises too. They like to play soccer, so I joined a game. I ate the fresh fish that was fished right out of the water and cooked over a fire. It is much like Africa. Madagasca is the fourth largest island in the world. This island was split from Africa approximately 160 million years ago.The Prime Minister of Madagascar is head of government.Madagascar is currently divided into six autonomous provinces, and subdivided into 22 regions. London United Kingdom

i visited the Sherlock Holmes Memorial.Also i saw the Tower of London! Wow, what a castle! I went to the museums. Then i wentto visit Buckingham Palace! This palace reminds me of the White House. I dined at a restraunt called Bluu - Manchester. I stayed at a big hotel called The Langham Hotel London. London has been a major city for two millennia. The romans found the land of London. London is one of the world's largest financial centres.London's Heathrow is the world's busiest airport.The Blitz and other bombing by the German Luftwafe during World War II killed over 30,000 Londoners. Saigon Vietnam

Saigon is the city that never sleeps. I see vehicles crowded in the streets. I love the fruits in vietnam! I had the dragon fruit(in the picture), sugar apple, lychee, guava, waterapple, longans, star fruits, Corossolier, and jackfruits are some of my favorites. There's people selling food everywhere! It could be a small restaraunt but they could have very delicious food! Pho is one of my favorite soup that vietnam is known for. I went around town and watched the celebration, partying at night in the city.Vietnam is still under communism. So it was renamed Ho Chi Minh after a northern leader. April 30, 1975 was an important date, because it was the war against the north and the south, americans helped south vietnam against the north for freedom, but lost.Ho Chi Minh City is home to a well-established ethnic Chinese population. The seasons are divided in 2 : a dry season, and rainfall season, average rainfall is 1800millimeters. Toronto Canada

In Toronto I saw one of their fashion shows. They have great fashion that really pretty, and are right for the climate there too. I also went to Toronto Zoo where there are more then 500,000 animals who make their homes there. I saw the Hockey Hall of Fame there too. Toronto's leading economic sectors include business services. Toronto is a place where alot of people immigrant to. It is one of the world's most diverse cities.Residents of Toronto are called torontonians.Toronto became the largest alcohol distillation in the 1860s. Sydney Australia

In australia I visited the famous Opera House! Wow, that building was bea-u-ti-ful; especially at night with all the lights!!! I saw the harbour brigde too. I went to the Taronga zoo where I saw Lions, koalas, fur seals, sea lions, leopards, penguins, and pelicans. I tried their pie and beef. Beef is the most populated food in australia. Australia's population is about 21,007,310 people. Australia is latin for southern. In 1770, Englishman Lieutenant James Cook claimed east coast after he charted it in his ship. A gold rush began in Australia in the early 1850s.

South Korea

In South Korea I got to visit Bulguksa temple. I got to see a beautiful dance performances with fans by women in pink in the picture. I love to see their beaches and the lands near water. I tried their spicy kim chi and their popular dish Bibimbap. Bibimbap is a bowl mix of countless vegetables on a stone bowl rice with spicy sauce.I also met my favorite korean singer Kim Hyun Joong!!!! Korea covers 100,032 square kilometers. The population in korea is over 48 million people. Korea is divided into South and North because of a war.South Korea's government is divided into 3 branches just like the U.S. The olympics was held in Korea in 1988 at Seoul Olympic Stadium. Beijing,China

In China I saw the Great Wall of China, but I didn't make it all the way since it's 50,000 kilometers! I also went so see their huge temples. The food there was really good. They have fun people doing tricks and stuff in the towns in the afternoon. I visited the Olympic Park that was built with $500 million dollars, it looks like a bird's nest. Beijing is China's 2nd largest city after shanghai. Beijing has held China's rich culture for a long time. Beijing means northern capital. The Chinese civil War started in On 31 January 1949. Terri, Italy

When I arrived in Italy Iwanted to see everything they had to offer. I found a place to eat lunch called Osteria alla Piazza and ate pizza I also tried their pasta. Later I went to the Leaning Tower of Pisa,and The Coliseum. Italy is in Europe. It is slighty larger then Arizona. Some of their environment issues are air pollution,whaling,and hazardous waste. Orlando Florida

The plane ride was long and boring but I finally arrived at Florida! I found a beautiful hotel there called Marriatt where I would spend the night. I took a taxi to look around the city. I saw the skyline.It was so pretty, I could see the city buildings. I found a restaurant called Cafe Chardonnay and had Brandied Lobster Bisque with Maine Lobster Meat. After I was done eating I went to Disney World for some fun ride. I went on the typhoon lagoon. This ride is a water ride that has a pool bigger then the size of 2 football fields!!! I saw the Magic Kingdom,Epcot,Animal Park, Blizzard Beach and Hollywood Studios. Orlando became a city in 1885. It is the 5th largest city in Florida. The population in Orlando is about 230,514. It is known for its tourism destination such as Disneyland and Sea World. The day before the trip i packed shirts,jeans,shorts,coats,gloves,and hats into my luggage. I also brought along my cell phone,ipod, and of course my camera. I told my family that i was going to Florida, Mexico, Venezuala, Italy, Antartica, Australia, New Zealand, Mali, Yukon, Toronto, South Korea, Argentina, Madagascar, Greenland, Vietnam, Beijing, And London.

Typing Web is a good site for kids all ages who are learning how to type. It has an online keyboard so you wouldn't have to look down. This web also keeps track of your timing,so you could see your progress on speed tests. It has creative web skin that match your mood when you are typing. They even have international keyboard layouts and languages.I think this web would help kids learn to type just like in computer class.

About me & my vacation

My name is Phuong. I'm 12 years old, from Callanan middle school. I'm Asian ,from Vietnam. I came to the U.S. in 2000. I want to graduate college and become a pharmacist when i grow up. I enjoy play volleyball, tennis, using the internet, reading, and hanging out with my friends.
A vacation i've had was this summer, i went to Orange County, California with my uncle to visit some relatives. I went to Orange hill to see all the city lights at night , Disney downtown, Hollywood, City walk, and i also rode a boat all the way out towards the pacific ocean and saw sea lions. My dream vacation is to Paris France! I want to learn about their people, language, agriculture and daily life stuff. I want to visit the sceneries and try their food. I also want to visit the Eiffel Tower.
